The first step towards finding dementia care is to understand what it is and what is not possible for a person living with this condition. It is important to recognize that a person cannot be expected to cope on their own, which is why the program was developed. There are many different aspects of dementia care that need to be considered, such as how to best communicate with the person suffering from the condition, how to organise a day, and how to apply for help. A person living with dementia will need nursing care, assistance with incontinence, and end of life care.
